Heritage Days

This last Saturday was Heritage days, where we celebrate the founding of our fine city. It is a week long celebration with many events throughout the week. Then on Saturday the celebration culminates with a 5k, a parade, a carnival, and fireworks.
This year, the girls and I rode in the Stars Dance float and had a ball waving to the crowd and eating otter-pops. Later that day our good friends Jeff and Sarah Collins and thier three boys came to play in our little sharkolinda pool. Then Lindsee and Ryan joined us for a bbq. Then we went to the Carnival and fireworks.

The girls had fun with thier friends on the rides. Gracie got to spend some time with Ammon. As parents we hold a secret hope that they will someday get married. Then we could be related to Sarah and Jeff. It was so fun to see them. The girls especially loved the carousel with its colorful ponies. Then, after everybody's bedtime, we got up close and personal with a great fireworks show.
